Creating a 3D model of the Langweil model of Prague has been possible thanks to the positive approach from the City of Prague as the founder of the City of Prague Museum.

In February 2006 the City of Prague Council approved the allocation of the first part of the funds for the digitalisation of the model and a tender was announced in accordance with the Public Contracts Act by the museum as the party ordering the project.

In 2007 and 2008 further necessary funds were allocated to the museum for this project.

The following people in particular worked hard to gain support from the city: the councillor for culture mgr. Bohumil Černý who together with mgr. Jan Kněžínek, the head of the culture, preservation of monuments and tourism department, was present at the birth of this demanding project.

In the following two years councillor ing. Milan Richter gave his support to the project.

For the entire time that the digitalisation of the Langweil model of Prague has been carried out it has been supported by the Mayor of the City of Prague, MUDr. Pavel Bém.
